meet dr. Jay meggison

Dr. Meggison graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1992 Summa cum laude. While there he served as president of the Student American Chiropractic Association, vice president of Pi Tau Delta, the International Chiropractic Honor Society and delivered his own daughter, Sarah. He opened a practice in Fredericksburg VA and practiced there until 1996 when he moved his family to Williamston NC. Dr. Meggison has run his own practice there for the last 20 years. He is certified in collision reconstruction by Texas A&M, in Whiplash Associated Disorders by the Spine Research Institute of San Diego, in Disability Rating by Logan College of Chiropractic, and in Extremity adjusting by the International Academy of Advanced Chiropractic Orthopedics.

Dr. Meggison is a past president of the Rotary Club in Williamston and has served several terms as a member of the Martin County Women’s Council (go figure) and have organized an annual Christmas Toy Drive for victims of domestic violence for many years. He is also an active member of the First Christian Church.

Dr. Meggison’s recreational hobbies include martial arts with a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a blue belt in Gracie Jiu Jitsu. He loves music, plays the guitar and is an unabashed Beatles junkie. He enjoys target shooting and is a fourth generation member of Red Sox Nation.

Dr. Meggison and his wife, Narda love to travel to her native country of Colombia and enjoy dancing (mostly swing) and absolutely love the beach. They have three children; Juan David, Maria Alejandra and Sarah all of whom are grown and out of college. They are honored and grateful to be joining the McLaughlin Chiropractic family and look forward to serving you.
